Something is Wrong

It is 85 degrees on a Sunday afternoon in midsummer. Why are mine the only children that can be heard playing outside?

The birdhouse picture makes me think of ants and rubbertree plants! Terrific!

What am I to make of the birdhouse picture? In Newfoundland, birds don't spin their own sheers... or has the house been commandeered by a large, furry arachnid?

85 sounds perfect! it was 98 here yesterday--perfect weather for rolling around on the floor under the air conditioning unit whining, "i'm bored! i'm bored!"

Don't feel alone. Although my children are grown and married, I have noticed the same thing. I live in a neighborhood full of children, but you would never know it. While mommy and daddy are on their computers, I guess the kids are sitting next to them on their own computers blogging, surfing the net and paying video games. What's up with that?

aahh... but you should have walked over to alpine street. We would have been in the front yard playing in the pool.
