Thanks for visiting. I am no longer updating Notes to Self. I hope you'll join me on my current website, PlantingDandelions.com

Does Kodak Make a Safety Latch?

What I found on my camera this morning:

If these pictures tell a story, I don't want to know what it is.

That poor cat. Though from the looks of things he (she?) is probably used to it.

That's awfully funny, even though I'm sure the cat didn't think so.

Great Pullman quote I saw the other day.
"Your life begins when you are born. Your life story begins when you realize you were born into the wrong family." These pictures? This is how the urge for independence begins to assert itself - all character development and no discernable plot (yet). Your children are beginning their own story.

I'm just glad the cat isn't in the same picture as the toilet bowl!

Omg. The cat picture killed me! And the toilet bowl - pure little boy comedy gold.

Wow, that's some cowed cat you've got there. Mine would be tearing out someone's throat rather than just hanging there looking long-suffering.

Cute cute cute.

the cat is remarkably gentle, though he does like to bite heads. some of you might remember this

I'm just glad the toilet shot is post-flush, and the bowl (for once) is clean.

I've been lurking for a while now, enjoying your elegant prose, but these pictures are making me come out of hiding... We might not understand it, but I still love the story these pictures tell!! And that poor cat... (looks like mine)

....or maybe its a message from the kids to other cats...."this will be your life if you come into our home." I bet he still has it better than our former cat Jackson she spent alot of time inside little firehouses and drawers.
great post.

Oh, Kyran! Saw your twitter post about this...Your other pictures are incredibly beautiful. Your posts normally make me turn inward and ponder. But this one just calls for cackles and laughter.

I don't know why, but I find this sooo funny! The mugging for the camera, the kitty mugging, the weirdly cropped shots... I keep coming back periodically to look at it again and giggle. And your comment... hehehe!
