Those look yummy! A gift from Sandy Claws. Lucky, lucky you...
There is nothing quite like a Newfoundland lobster. Even the ones from P.E.I. pale in comparison, I suspect because of the warmer Gulf (of St. Lawrence) waters. And don't get me started on those bug-like crayfish from down south... they creep me out.
Don't forget to put plenty of salt in the water.
Which raises that inevitable question about HOW you plan to cook them... the fast head-first plunge, or some kind of anesthetic first. :)
Sorry Geoff, they actually came from Nova Scotia! The dreadful Clearwater Seafood. But they were yummy. We shot them , what else would you do in the south:)
Coming from Maine (where they crawl up onto the beach and follow you home) if there is one aspect of the lobster ritual I genuinely miss, it's kids playing with giant bugs in bathtub/on kitchen floor. Hope you enjoyed all aspects of these bugs.
