I haven't seen Juno yet, but it tickles me how references to scriptwriter Diablo Cody in traditional media are being breathlessly preceded by the descriptor, "blogger/ex-stripper." As if it's sort of incredible that either one could turn out to be a person of intelligence and wit.
And as if they are virtually THE SAME THING.
The shoe is mine. Comes with the gig.
Hey, Leah had lunch with Cody this week. Leah couldn't be any more special in my eyes no matter who she passes the salt to, but Cody wins points with me just for smiling so warmly at someone so dear.

TOO funny!
Because we ALL have our stripper-wear tucked in the closet. I pull mine out and wear it for those really difficult to tackle posts. It helps to inspire.
Those are great shoes.
my non-blogger blog
LOVE the shoes! Personally, I'm wearing my really tall platform boots today. It's chilly, and I'm trying to offset my tasseled bikini top. ;)

well #1: Juno is AMAZING. lovely and hilarious and awesome. Love love love love love.
and #2: normally i don't delurk until i have read the entirety of a blogger's archives. all of their posts, ever. it's sort of a policy. BUT. you are now an exception. i just discovered your blog a few weeks ago and have been taking my time reading the archives because i am appreciating your writing so very much. (also i am a little bit drunk tonight.) but truly, your writing is phenomenal. is it a compliment to tell me that you remind me of anne lamont?
i have a ton more that i want to say but this will have to suffice for now. i promise to write more very soon.
LOVE your writing and thank you thank you thank you for pursuing it and allowing us to share in it and blessing us with your talents.

amanda, get drunk and come over any time!
and in my books, that's a huge compliment. annie is one of my heroes.
xo
I think the rainbow irridescent straps really make those shoes extra special. Lovely choice!
jessica, you think the shoes are special, you should've seen the dress for which they were bought to match.
I'm not drunk, but I do get the Anne Lamott connection. I've long thought it too. As for the shoes, well, I'm a guy....I don't really get the whole shoe thing.

How odd that a pair of transparent platform rainbow sandals gave me a powerful urge to go shoe shopping?!? I need some fabulous shoes!
