Thanks for visiting. I am no longer updating Notes to Self. I hope you'll join me on my current website, PlantingDandelions.com

He Might Be Giant

The boys got an xbox for Christmas, and I found a dancepad in a clearance bin a few weeks ago. It took me a while to track down a dance game, but one came in the mail yesterday. Consequently, our family room after school was transformed into the scene of a shirtless rave (at one point, pantless, but Dads for Decency intervened ). Here is my seven year old's freestylin' to "Istanbul", by They Might Be Giants:

I'd be shocked if Justin Timberlake hasn't been in touch yet, looking for a backup dancer.

What Kyran fails to mention is that the dance pad is sending out little electric shocks, and what appears to be manic dancing is actually self-preservation. :)

Just kidding...of course.

I have this game, and I was getting to be quite the dancing fool until I got too pregnant.

But I couldn't hold a candle to that little fella. He is some quick.

Hilarious! He's actually blurry! We have a Wii, and I would love to get one of these for my kids.

I laughed as much at the footage as I did at the funny comments. Nothing new to add to what was already said except that this was great.
