Thanks for visiting. I am no longer updating Notes to Self. I hope you'll join me on my current website, PlantingDandelions.com

But the nineties were just last YEAR

043

Wednesday night, I went out for dinner with a group of fabulous moms. Seated next to me was a new, very cute friend who has two small kids. She was asking about my husband. I told her how the first time I saw a photo of him, he reminded me of a very thin Dave Pirner, and she said, "Who?"

Then my skin shriveled up and my bones crumbled to dust. The End.

When I met my husband, he looked like Robert Plant. Imagine how that statement goes over with the twenty-somethings!

How about this? People who were born in 1990 are old enough to vote this year.

Freaks me out.

Kyran, if it's any consolation, reading Pirner's name rang a bell, but I couldn't remember from where...

Well, in her defense, I totally loved Soul Asylum but I didn't know Dave Pirner's name until, well, just now.

I'm a child of the 80s and well. I had to click on the link to see who the heck Dave Pirner was. Like Julie, I totally knew who Soul Asylum was. In my defense.

I used to do an impersonation of him in my step mothers' bath robe with a hand towel on my head for my friend....."runaway train never coming back"
