Coming Together
Watching the new house come together is beyond thrilling. It's the first opportunity we've ever had to deliberately express ourselves in a home interior, and the whole process is surprisingly rich. We've had to think deeply about who we are as individuals, as a family, and how we really live.
I've been trying to organize my moving set on flickr into before and after order. Here's a glimpse (there are some notes on the photos you can read if you click on them):

the color in the kitchen is fantastic! i would have to stay in there all the time. but the orange you did was lovely! i think i saw that on your blog... i hope i did at least.
yes, orange is our accent color throughout, and we did one bedroom in Sherwin Williams' Energetic Orange. The countertops in the kitchen (on order) will be Formica's retro "Boomerang" pattern in reddish-orange, and our dining chairs are Eames eiffel side chairs in red-orange. We pick up the orange again in a stripe that runs through the master bedroom carpet.
What beautiful light! Congrats on a gorgeous new home!
congrats on the new home!
I love the lime green, the big windows and the chandelier. Delicious!
I have never lived anywhere other than the house I was born in. I must live vicariously through others when they move. I can only imagine the joy, the worry, and, oh yes, the joy again.
Congratulations! You're doing a great job of making the home reflect your personality.
I love the teal in the kitchen and the new tile. Very, very nice.
(The red dress is to die for, too!)
Love your palette! What color is the mudroom? Delicious! I could eat it!
Those colors are so fabulous!!! I LOVE the blue - you're making me want to paint our kitchen!!
mb, the mudroom and hall are Sherwin Williams Butterfield.
Elle, the blue is Sherwin Williams Swimming Pool.
Oh to be able to decorate your own home... I feel like I'm living on borrowed time in a borrowed home.
