I just love the way your handbags are hugging too.
As for friends off the Internet, I am lucky to have some wonderful ones. I just haven't met them yet.
This picture and the delight on your faces reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from, Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach.
"The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life.
Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof."
Love seeing that in action!
Now THAT'S a great picture.
amen
Beautiful.
Kyran: I only recently discovered your prodigious blog and I have read every exceptionally well-written word. Your thoughts are methodical, organized, intensely passionate...yet sometimes refreshingly mercurial. Your blog just brings a ray of light into my sometimes darkened and difficult world...and reminds me to appreciate, love, and cherish my family and the moments we share. Blog on!

This photo is so beautiful.Your combined light is dazzling!
David,
that makes me so happy to know. i'll be tucking that one into my heart and keeping it close all day.

Your previous post on Blogher, which I didn't attend, illuminated more of the mystery (to me) of why I join in the blogging community, more as reader than writer, though.
And now this post helps explain why I read you and a few other bloggers so regularly. Well, to be honest, why I drop whatever I'm doing to read and reflect on your latest post. Now you are making me think about the special relationship that develops between writers and their readers.
I've rewritten this next paragraph many times because I feel I need say more than just, "Thank you." But there is no better phrase to describe my feelings.
Thank you for writing. For being authentic. For being Kyran. For encouraging other budding bloggers to share their stories. For creating and maintaining a beautiful blog when too many are noisy and ugly.
What a perfect photo of two of my favourite writers in the whole blogosphere. Also perfect that you publish it this weekend because yesterday and today I have been trying very hard to look under [my] foot, thanks to jen's recent post.
I think there is soul sister synergy at work here. Another plus of blogging over traditional media.
Beautiful! Next Blogher you're on my list to meet!
Jen Lemen is like sunshine in a person. You, I love for you kindness and gentle way. I am so happy to be friends with you both.
