Thanks for visiting. I am no longer updating Notes to Self. I hope you'll join me on my current website, PlantingDandelions.com

Yes, We are Very Fancy

001

After writing yesterday about a few of the things I consider to be decorative triumphs of my preschooler's room, I felt it only fair to publish this review, submitted this morning by a four-year-old visitor:

"WOW! Your room is AWESOME! You have a BOX!"

Thanks. Got it at amazon.

I applaud your instinct to move away from the Pottery Barn website and make some decorating selections at Amazon.

It's the next big thing. Or it will be, after this post.

Whoo-hoo!

We love Da Box.

Train, airplane, dump truck ... it's got it all.

That is really sweet - and oh-so-true! My 5 year old would give anything to play in a "house" made out of cardboard boxes.

I've discovered the only toy that rivals "the box" is a long rope or ball of yarn...

I had a steel ball bearing, about 5 inches in diameter when I was a kid that I loved beyond all things. It must have weighed 3 pounds.

I eventually lost it by burying it in the yard and not being able to find the exact spot again.

I mourned.
