If God Had a Face
"Who made these mountains?"
"God." (plate tectonicssame thing)
"No, he didn't!"
"Sure he (she, it) did. God made the whole world."
(chuckle) "God didn't!"
"Who, then?"
"I did!"
"It's beautiful. Thank you."
"I made it when I was three years old. Don't you remember?"
"I do now."
"I made the mountains and the trees and the bushes and the rocks and the houses and the fences and the whole world. When I was three."

perfect. three was a busy year.
Sweetest thing I've ever heard. I LOVE how kids think they made the Universe (because, at least in my case, my toddler DID make my life).
Well. You are raising an incredibly generous child to dedicate a year to making the entire world.
WAy to go, Mom!!! You're raising a keeper!
Wow. I had a very similar conversation with my now 4 yr old a few months ago. Isn't the toddler ego something incredible to behold?! Thanks for the giggle.
Thank you for making the world. I am really enjoying it!
You know, I've heard of the Messiah Complex, but this goes a step beyond that--it's a Yahweh complex. Not that there's anything wrong with that....
That is sooooo awesome. I am all teary eyed and smiles.
What's he going to do for an encore??
That's because "three is a magic number" ... as School House Rock reminds us. Still, beautiful!
Of course he made the world! Was there ever a doubt?
And he did a darned fine job, too.

Beautiful. Simply beautiful.
I've never had a desire to have children, but when I read things like this, I think to myself, "You MUST have children. There will be no greater joy than that."
with love from Pittsburgh...
