Still Rock and Roll To Me.

When I brought him to school the next morning, all his classmates dropped what they were doing and came to stand in a circle around him, staring with mouths open.

It was a bit like the end of Tootsie, when Dustin Hoffman pulls off his wig. I don't think they knew he was a boy.

Awww, the thing about hair I guess is that for good or bad it always grows back. In the meantime, still cute as a button, that one is.

it wasn't too sad or hard. the curl had really fallen out of it these past few weeks, and getting a brush or comb through it had become a nightmare for us both. It was time.

But I kept the lovely ponytail. It sprang into a perfect ringlet in my hand.

A cute cut! He looks so happy, too! I used to cut my sons' hair short-short but they have rebelled and are shaggy boys and you know what? I like it better. Little rock stars... Your dude is still longish locks of blond...

He looks transformed! But happy. What a smile. I'm glad you kept the ponytail at least. :)

enjoying your posts (first time here) and had to comment on this one... watching my sons ponytail get cut, around the same age, was a beautiful bittersweet thing for me too, some years ago.

there was this thought i remember, of how he wasn't my little rocker anymore. but he was and is still.
(he and his twin sis started h.s. this year, and the longhair is back)

another step on the way...

thx for the tear in my eye.
;)
