Destiny
This is me with my father in December of 1969, in New Brunswick, Canada.
This is my husband in December of 1969, in Arkansas, The United States of America.
It's a good thing we can't see into the future. I'd probably still be locked up in a tower.

Oh, the memories.
What you can't tell from that picture is that it was probably about 4am. We were terrible about getting mom and dad up as early as possible.
He reminds me of the kid from A Christmas Story. I love it!
You'll shoot your eye out kid.
Would you look at the size of my noggin!? It's like 4 times the size it ought to be. It's a wonder I ever learned to walk without tipping over.
God, how I loved that BB gun. When I got it, if you put it on the floor next to me, it was about 2 inches taller than I was.
Patrick -- Would you still have any of the Hot Wheels from Tune-Up Tower? I still have my Hot Wheels. Man, were they cool. Ironically, I never actually learned to drive a real car until my mid-twenties.
This makes me laugh. :) The Christmas photos I'm currently scanning of my brothers from right around that same time, show them each year receiving cap guns and GI Joes and Rat Patrols and then the BB Guns. Alongside the hot wheels, tinker toys and erector sets.
hahahaha....as a reluctant new resident of NW Arkansas....this post made my day.
if we had known you would have been locked up in the tower for a very long time......
It's not the gun that scares me as much as the glassy eyes.
