So Long, Four.
I have loved few things more than being the mother of a four-year-old. I retired yesterday.
We had a very fancy party yesterday to usher in FIVE. You can read more details on Noteworthy today.
Five, twenty-five, or fifty-five, whenever I look at my baby's face, I'll always see this:

Oh happy birthday youngest Pittman!
Kyran you look amazing for just having given birth. I'm jealous.
Thank you! I think this was the next day, actually. But I was feeling pretty euphoric after avoiding another C-section.
I so love mommy-baby pictures. As a father of four, these are some of my most precious memories . . .
Happy birthday, little one!
So, so sweet. I'm a bit teary-eyed. For some reason, I'm having a hard time letting go of four. I'm struggling with the idea of my baby turning five next month.
Both photos are lovely (as usual). The party looks adorable - I'll head over to Noteworthy. And you look amazing after giving birth, even if it's a week later! Glad you enjoyed celebrating your son.
Oh, how do they get so big in just a few short years? My elder daughter is about to turn four, my younger is two, and your picture has made me TERRIBLY broody again!!!!
As a father of three wonderful kids who are now in high school and college, I envy you your young family. There are amazing pleasures in store as a parent of older kids (mine have brought me nothing but joy and pride) but those pleasures are to an extent offset by the realization of what will never be again. Hold your young'uns close.
I was going to ask, too, if this was right right after. Because if this is how you look right after having a baby, then I give up. :-)
Four was such a great year with my kids. And one day old was pretty amazing, too.
Happy Birthday to your (sweet)boy!
Great photos and I echo your sentiments. My three boys are now 11, 13 and 14 and they will always be my little men -- even when they tower over me!
He looks a bit like a Mad Hatter!
Sounds like a grand time was had by all.
Awww. So sweet and tender. The time does blur right by us, doesn't it?
