I've Loved You For So Long
I've wanted one of these hand-stamped metal charms by local artisan Joella Peck for so long. I finally went and got myself one.
I was out with friends the other night when someone asked about it. "Everybody gets their children's names," I said, "but I wanted my husband's."
My friend sighed. "No one's in love anymore."
We are.

Good for you! I saw this in my reader and thought it was perhaps a review of the recent movie "I've Loved You So Long" with Juliette Binoche. But this is even better . . .
Lots of people are in love I think, it's just not enough of us slow down to celebrate it. Good for you for doing so.
:-) when you've been married ten years or more, you know that "right now" is a given after that declaration.
Beautiful. Is there an online site?
joella doesn't have her own website yet, as far as I know, but I got mine here: http://www.shopboxturtle.com/products/jewelry
Love.
my heart smiles....
This made me smile. And sigh. But a good sigh.
So much I'd like to say, but my words are inadequate.
Short but sweet! Good for you.
Lovely. And beautiful photo.
That's nice...
Lovely.
When I got a personalized tag necklace like that, I got three tags. My two children's birthdates, and my anniversary date. :)
Sigh... I am so happy for you both. Your love burning bright is a beacon.
Gorgeous. And yes, Love is still around :)
Thanks for the link to the site as well.
Ah.....nice.
I'm happy to hear it. Every once in a while, I wonder if anyone could love their husband as much as I love mine.
I guess the answer is yes.
Good! If you aren't willing to declare your love for your husband, what's the point of being married?
Love this. Thanks so much for sharing.
Your title speaks for itself. :)
That amazing love is a blessing. I had a dream a few months ago that John had died, a psychic told Kim that there was another out there for her but told me there would always only be John. I'm okay with that!
Ah, that was really touching. So sweet.
sigh. that is simply romantic. (and inspiring too!)
You just made me grin. I'm in love, too.
Sweetness. Always a joy dropping into your space.
Kyran, thank you so much for your sweet comments about my charms. i remember when you ordered it and I tried to come out to meet you at Box Turtle, but I was too busy. I wanted to say thanks for the designmom.com piece and to congratulate you on the book. I do have a website now for informational purpose, www.joellapeckoriginals.com, but you can purchase from Box Turtle's site. Thanks again for the spotlight on my charms. I love to hear the stories about people getting them. I hope to meet you soon. Joella
Joella, thanks for stopping by. :-) I've edited the post to include your site. Keep up the fabulous work. I've looked everywhere, and yours really are the best. Etsy, etsy, etsy :-)
Yes, there are those of us that are still in love. And there are the cynics who don't believe it. None of us can escape those moments of frustration, but truth be told, I'd still wear a charm with my husband's name on it too. :)
