Then one foggy Christmas Eve...
With each pregnancy, Patrick put forth the name "Roscoe" as a contender, in honor of a favorite great-uncle. Cooler heads fortunately prevailed.
"Forget it," I said, adamantly, three times in a row. "You can name a dog Roscoe. Not a kid of mine."
Meet Roscoe.

Oh holy crap is that dog cute. My word.
PS. My word verification was "enconing". I hope that he is never enconed.
Awwwww! Perfect name for a super-cute puppy. Welcome to the world of dog ownership (she said, from the middle of a furball).
What a cutie! He looks like lots of fun (and trouble, if he's anything like my Pearl). Enjoy!
hey there kyran..we met first at blogher san fran (in 08) so happy to meet the latest edition. roscoe is precious..and so are your boys:) hope your 2010 brings your family much joy:) thanks for you genuine writing and heartfelt words....:)
He's very cute! You're a very good mom. :-)
Too cute for words.
Is he REALLY part chihuahua and Jack Russell? Really cute!
He's really adorable and did you notice he seems to have a mark on his chest that looks like a cross?
I love Roscoe, both the name and the dog.
P.S. Unlike Schmutzie, my word verification is "terto." Because, apparentely, Roscoe is as cute as a terto.
Cuter, even.
Oh my word, is that dog cute or what? Must not show my husband and must remind myself that I have three cats of which one would have a heart attack if ever a dog would cross the threshold.
sigh
What a face! He's adorable! And I'm slightly relieved to see no trace of Jack Russell in him, from what I can tell. Have fun with young Roscoe! The boys must think the world of him!
Such a cutie. My hubby wanted to name our boys "Mosey" as in "Mosey Lister," a famous composer. In TX, though, mosey means to amble. I said, "you can name the dog Mosey."
:)
Love your writing! :)
I had a Roscoe when I was a little girl. He was, quite possibly, the best dog ever. Here's to hoping your Roscoe is just as wonderful.
...I'm not sure that Rosco has a rival for being adorable on this earth.
