Graduating
We watched our eleven-year-old graduate from elementary school this morning.
I've heard it said that a boy belongs to his mother for the first half of childhood. Then he belongs to his father.
I think he'll be in good hands.

What a lovely post! He's lucky to have such a dad... and mom!
A very sweet picture.
Oh. Sigh. This makes me cry. I haven't heard that adage before but it makes sense. xo
I also had never heard that before, but I can say it is true. My son is 15 and there has been a shift. It is subtle but it is there.
Wow, that second picture is wonderful. A treasure for father and for son.
The first image made me sigh in appreciation. The second image made me catch my breath and tear up. Something about riding that edge between letting go and protecting. All those subtle transitions along our life path.
Perfect!
